The Low Calorie Lowdown

I’ve worked with countless clients who focused on calories the majority of their adult life. The faith in a number to solve a weight concern never ceased to amaze me.

Sure, I can calculate someone's calorie 'needs' by inserting subjective numbers into an equation, but the resulting number alone can't translate to healthy results.

Instead of a calorie-forward mindset, try a food-first focus.

Restricting daily energy(calories) can bring weight loss, especially if we overate on foods that are nutrient poor. Long term success comes from a focus on the nutritional and functional properties of the foods we choose or eliminate.

Look for a real solution.

It's time to focus on nourishing our health instead of our attention to the scale.
