I wasn't born, or raised, with a plant-based mindset.

I first tried hummus ten years ago. Now, I can’t get enough of this delicious plant protein, high in soluble fiber.
Let's further my confession; avocados were not a part of my childhood. But now, guacamole is a staple in meals and snacks. At breakfast, whole wheat toast with avocado, sliced tomato and spices is a slice of heaven.
I did eat nutritious foods growing up, but it wasn't until learning and growing with nutrition information that I was inspired to expand my palette.
Healthy eating should include a variety of flavors, textures, and smells. New can be delicious.
